Abstract:

The Cantarell Field, located in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Mexico, has played a pivotal role in the country's oil production industry. This offshore oil field has faced a myriad of challenges that have shaped its complex history and significance. This presentation provides a concise overview of the key aspects of the Cantarell Field.

Mark Morford Biography

Mark received a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics from Texas A&M and a Masters of Science from the University of Houston in Geophysics.

He has extensive geophysics experience in the areas of seismic interpretation, velocity model building and depth imaging for Western Geophysical, Paradigm, PEMEX , Shell and Lumina mainly in Mexico, Venezuela and the United States. Currently Mark is with Lumina Geophysical as a Technical Sales Specialist.

Mark is also President of the AsociaciónMexicana de Geofísicosde Exploración(AMGE) – Houston Delegation, an SEG associated organization for geoscientists/engineers interested in Mexico and in close contact with the members in Mexico.
