Navigating a Career through the Boom & Bust Cyclicity of the Oil Industry

The oil and natural gas industry is highly cyclical and its long-term participants must be prepared for a bumpy ride along the way. The rewards of patience and hard work can be bountiful, but plunges from cyclical highs to lows can occur unexpectedly and be exceedingly painful.

During the trough periods it can be helpful to step back,  take stock and hear some of the ‘secrets’ of oil  men and women who have successfully ridden the cycles and lived to tell about them.  Some comments may be trite, others more thoughtful, but all may provide insights for the listener’s consideration and contemplation.
